Rick Titulaer

bio
As both a Chartered Structural Engineer and a Chartered Computational Designer, I’m passionate about tackling complexity and shaping a sustainable future through intelligent, integrated design.

At Arup, I specialise in using parametric and computational methods to solve challenging problems and unlock new potential in structural and architectural design. I thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams where we push boundaries—digitally and physically—to achieve elegant, comfortable, efficient, and human-focused solutions.

Jeroen Coenders

bio
Specialties: Software development, computational design, optimisation, advanced FEA, parametric and associative design, BIM, custom tool-building, teams, complex projects, Judo.

Tiia Vahula

bio
Architect and designer for 3D printing.
This lecture explores the transformative journey of wearable art—from the initial spark of inspiration to the realization of a fully fabricated piece. Focusing on the “how-to” process, it guides participants through the complete workflow: from concept development and design in Rhino, to material exploration and fabrication techniques such as 3D printing.

Gabriel Garcia

bio

Architect, Geomatics MSc and Computational Designer. Specialist in data-driven solutions and digital process integration within the AEC industry, advocating for a future where computational design not only aims for organic forms and structures but also boosts sustainability and efficiency redefining the way we make buildings.

Diederik Veenendaal

bio

Dr.sc.ETH ir. Diederik Veenendaal is director and co-founder of Summum Engineering, an employee-owned cooperative and social enterprise, that provides structural design and engineering service, based in Rotterdam. Diederik continuously seeks collaboration with partners who, each in their own way, strive towards a future with a built environment in harmony with the environment. For his efforts, he was recognized last year as the Dutch ‘Structural Engineer of the Year’ and won the National Timber Construction Award for best timber building (Energiehuis Deltawind) in the Netherlands.

Cort Widlowski

bio

Architect, LEED BD+C, WELL AP, holds a Master’s degree from Politecnico di Milano. For over eight years I have worked with multidisciplinary teams across Europe, North America, and Asia to integrate parametric workflows and advanced data analysis into architecture and urban planning projects. My approach focuses on designing intuitive and adaptable systems that any user can access, enabling seamless collaboration from the earliest sketches through detailed LOD 400 models ready for fabrication and construction.

Gerard Petersen

bio
RhinoCentre was founded in 2004 by naval architect Gerard Petersen. He started using Rhino 1.1 integrally in his innovative maritime design projects in 2000. Especially working in 3D with Rhino and the ability to design both exterior, interior, structure and technical components in one environment was the way forward and new in the industry. Since then, Petersen used Rhino, Grasshopper and many plugins extensively in internal projects and for other clients via RhinoCentre. This made RhinoCentre an authority in the application of Rhino in the maritime industry world wide.

Stijn Joosten

bio
Stijn is a structural engineer specializing in bridge structures. After graduating cum laude in architecture and structural engineering at TU Delft, he started his career at Arup in Amsterdam. Frustrated with the conservative infrastructure design practice, he has pushed to expand the use of Rhino and Grasshopper in his field of work, implementing it in his own daily practice and teaching those around him. Now he leads the structural engineering team at Ney and Partners NL.

Menno Deij - van Rijswijk

bio
Menno started out as a third-party plug-in developer for Rhino v4 in 2011, and has joined McNeel’s core geometry developer team in 2024. He is helping to make Rhino better in many ways.

Andrew le Bihan

bio
Senior software developer at McNeel.

Wessel van Beerendonk

bio
At Studio RAP, our work grows from a deep passion for ceramics and their role in architecture. We are inspired by the stories that materials can tell, and ceramics in particular carry a long lineage of craft, ornament, and cultural meaning. Industrialisation turned them into standardized products, but we see potential in reintroducing their expressive qualities through digital tools and fabrication. Our fascination lies in discovering how computation and robotics can give new life to this material while keeping design and making closely connected.
